The development of sports among youth in our member states faces several challenges, including:

1. **Limited Infrastructure: ** Many of WSA’s countries lack adequate sports facilities and infrastructure, such as fields, courts, and equipment, which are essential for youth to participate in sports.

2. **Access to Resources: ** Young people may have limited access to sports equipment, training programs, and coaching, which can hinder their ability to develop skills and participate effectively.

3. **Economic Barriers: ** Families in many of our countries often prioritize basic needs like food and shelter over sports participation due to financial constraints, making it difficult for youth to engage in organized sports.

4. **Educational Priorities: ** Education is prioritized over sports in some regions, leading to limited time and resources dedicated to athletic programs and training.

5. **Cultural Attitudes: ** Cultural perceptions of sports can vary significantly, and in some communities, there may be limited support for youth sports or specific gender biases that discourage participation among girls.

6. **Conflict and Instability: ** In areas affected by political instability or conflict, sports programs can be disrupted, limiting opportunities for youth engagement in constructive activities.

7. **Health and Nutrition: ** Poor health and nutrition can affect youth's physical performance and overall ability to participate in sports, further exacerbating disparities in sports opportunities.

8. **Talent Development: ** Without proper systems to identify and nurture talent, many promising young athletes may go unnoticed and untrained.

9. **Lack of Sponsorship and Funding: ** Limited financial backing for sports programs can hinder the growth and sustainability of youth sports initiatives.

  SPORTS is a global language.

"It can bridge social, cultural, and religious divides. It enhances personal development and growth, teaches us teamwork and fair play, builds self-esteem, and opens doors to new opportunities”
